The ideal candidate will be solution-oriented, with experience managing the development and direction of an operational team to drive the growth of revenue, productivity and a superior level of satisfaction among our clients.   • Responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of maintenance operations, including monitoring the financial accountability of the branch operations, identifying business needs, and assisting in the development of new services.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, responding promptly and effectively to customer enquiries.
  • Lead all aspects of people management and development to branch office, shop and field employees, including but not limited to: recruitment, delegation and monitoring of work, and performance management. Where appropriate, communicate and escalate employee relations issues.
  • Monitor financial performance to ensure the department is meeting or exceeding the budgetary commitment.
  • Manage the day-to-day work schedules of the field and shop staff, ensuring that all requisite tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Participate in routine work-in-progress, safety and management meetings.
  • Provide pertinent information to the Estimating department, for their use in preparing accurate quotes for projects.
  • Collaborate with corporate services teams to ensure effective operations of the branch, and with other branches in the scheduling and coordination of shared employees.
  • Provide expertise and technical recommendations for proper operations, design, and electrical installations.
  • Demonstrate role model behavior by encouraging the desired corporate culture and creating a high performance and engaged employee group.
Qualifications:
  • Red Seal Journeyman Instrument or Electrical Technician, dual ticketed would be an asset
  • 3-5 years of Management or Supervisory experience.
  • Valid class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with difficult people/situations with a calm demeanor
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Industry required safety tickets
