Job Description

A major oil and gas company is looking for a Field Operator local to the Valleyview area for a 7/7 shift schedule. The successful candidate must be flexible to work locally, but at times travel to their other field south of Grande Prairie and stay in camp. Candidates local to Valleyview are preferred, but candidates from Grande Prairie may also be considered. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sour gas field is required.Other Requirements and Experience Include:

  • Compression
  • Dehydration
  • Mechanical aptitude is an asset
  • Instrumentation experience is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Current safety tickets (Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, at a minimum)
  • Computer literate in general with focus on volume reporting, Excel, Microsoft Word
  • Must be a team player with strong leadership and communication skills
  • Must be self – motivated, open-minded and results oriented individual.
  • Must have a strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot while under pressure and handle critical issues as they arise.
  • Capable of passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
