Job Description

Our client is seeking Health Care Aides to provide superior physical and emotional care to the residents of the Valleyview Seniors Facility. The HCAs are primarily responsible for assisting patients with their daily activities, physical exercise and moving patients within the facility.What’s in it for you

What do you bring to the job
  • Health Care Aide certificate (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • CPR/BCLS for healthcare provider required
  • Demonstrated skills in communication, teamwork, organization and customer service
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to person-centered care
  • Ability to problem solve through critical thinking
  • Enthusiastic attitude and energy to provide excellent care and service on behalf of the company
As the Health Care Aide, you will...
  • Provide resident-focused care in a home-like environment, respecting the individual and dignity of each resident/family and co-workers
  • Participate in all aspects of personal resident care to ensure the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the resident/family are met
  • Utilize therapeutic communication by establishing a working relationship with residents/families and co-workers for the purpose of meeting the resident needs
  • Deliver effective and efficient care under the direction of the supervisor that promotes resident/family choice and acknowledges the residents strengths, limitations, as well as their need for safety and safety of others
  • Assist with serving meals, feeding, and providing nourishment supplements
  • Respond to any resident in need regarding call bells, telephone ringing, and assisting any employee in need of help
  • Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing and other personal hygiene activities
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement
  • Create a facility environment that protects confidentiality of residents, staff and activities of the community
