We would like to thank all interested applicants in advance, however only those shortlisted shall be contacted.Responsibilities:Plan, direct, and coordinate field employee’s work schedulesEstablish and maintain relationships with customers/clients and provide assistance with any problems that may occurParticipate in the hiring process by reviewing candidate’s resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions and recommendationsConduct annual performance reviews for all field staffRecommend promotions and raises to be approved by Director of OperationsSupport and mentor apprentices and JourneymenNetwork within Valleyview to attract new business and communicate results to Sales Department for follow upWork with Human Resources to solve employee problemsConduct disciplinary actions when requiredWork with the CFO to manage budgets, allocate branch funds, and define financial objectivesMonitor department and project expenses to ensure all budget requirements are metProvide support to Estimating Department when preparing quotes for projectsReview daily job ticketsCollaborate with Valleyview Lead Invoice Admin- stay up to date with Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts PayableActively participate in Weekly WIP and AR/AP meetings with Head OfficeMonitor the costs, productivity, and scheduling associated with the Valleyview branchBe an active role model in relaying company culture and safety cultureComply with the standards and safety procedures of CDN’s Health & Safety manualMaximize manpower while utilizing the skills, material, and other resources to ensure efficiencies are met and exceededBe proactive and examine possible opportunities while working closely with the Director of Operations to ensure all areas of improved growth can be obtainedBe a team player and establish better practices and standards for estimating, managing business development, and evaluating projects and ensuring commitment to CDN’s core valuesProvide technical assistance and recommendations for proper operations, design, and electrical installationsConduct periodic site visits and take the time to build rapport with the team and understand all Journeymen and Apprentices skills and strengths to develop and maintain a strong teamDevelop the project budget for direct, indirect, and other costs based on the estimate provided for job scopeParticipate and lead monthly safety meetingsWork with project teams and ensure targets are being met and conduct regular reviews/follow ups for progress reports and changesManage work orders for different Producers to handle maintenance requestsResearch and learn new products and hardwareWork with other branches to coordinate scheduling of manpowerDevelop the project budget for direct, indirect, and other costs based on the estimate provided for job scopeParticipate and lead monthly safety meetingsWork with project teams and ensure targets are being met and conduct regular reviews/follow ups for progress reports and changesManage work orders for different Producers to handle maintenance requestsWork with other branches to coordinate scheduling of manpowerQualifications:Red Seal Journeyman Instrument or Electrical Technician, dual ticketed would be an asset5 years of Management or Supervisory experience.Valid class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstractIntermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to deal with difficult people/situations with a calm demeanorAbility to build teams and morale.Excellent organizational and time management skillsIndustry required safety tickets:Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol TestingH2S AliveFirst Aid Level C CPR & AEDCSTSCSOLeadership for Safety ExcellenceQuick Apply
