Job Description

The Western Cree Tribal Council is seeking an individual to fill the position of:Child, Youth & Family Enhancement – FOSTER CARE WORKER(FULL-TIME PERMANENT)Join a team of professional staff serving Western Cree Tribal Council. This employment opportunity will be located at our Main Office at Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, Treaty 8 Region. Interested applicants should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and computer skills. Able to travel to meet the needs and requirements of the Nations served by WCTC Child, Youth & Family Enhancement.
  • The capacity to work both as part of the Western Cree Tribal Council Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Agency and independently with minimal supervision.
  • In addition, the successful applicant must demonstrate an ability and willingness to assist with finding, recruiting, monitoring and maintaining placements.
  • A working knowledge of administrative procedures, legislation and programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Diploma of Social Work or equivalent.
  • Preference will be given to an individual who has previous work experience in the field.
  • A clear Criminal/Vulnerable Records Check and Intervention Records Check.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
