Job Description

Job Summary:The Labourer is not assigned to any particular area and duties may include moving raw material, or equipment, sort goods, and/or drive a forklift. General housekeeping duties are expected also, including, but not limited to: sweeping, washing equipment, painting, and/or maintenance duties, and assisting Technicians with additional duties as assigned. The Labourer may be required to travel occasionally to remote sites to assist Technicians.Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist Technicians with maintenance, cleaning, servicing of generators;
  • Sort, pack, and unpack raw materials and finished goods;
  • Operate a forklift and/or Bob Cat
  • General housekeeping of the shop and yard;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience) :
  • Successful completion of a safety course.
  • High School Diploma
  • Class 5 Driver’s License required
HSE Requirements (Training and Physical Ability Needs):
  • Shop environment orientation (exits, fire extinguishers, first aid & eyewash stations, spill kits);
  • Standing, walking, squatting, lifting, bending, and working outdoors. (Further details on JHA);
  • NOV in-house Bobcat training if required.
