Job Description

Reporting to the Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society Board of Directors, the office Administrator is responsible for conducting the day-to-day operational tasks of the society.-Perform clerical tasks, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and forwarding communication to the Executive, Board, or Committee chairs, as required-Manage bookkeeping records: this includes both Accounts payable and accounts receivable. Complete year end financials for submission to the accountant-Manage and keep records of society invoicing for membership fees, invoicing fees etc.-Respond to public inquiries regarding general operations-Oversee the groundskeeper, social website and social media platforms if a staff member is not employed specifically for that purposeMinor: To keep a daily diary, documenting hours, what was worked on, number of phone calls and emails.-Attend Board meetings and provide the Board with monthly reports-coordinate meetings and appointments-participate in meetings with the Alberta Association of Agricultural Societiesother tasks as requiredRequired Skills-Must be self motivated and able to prioritize tasks-Ability to recognize and successfully meet deadlines-Fluent in English- oral and written. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.-Superior organizational skills with email, office 365, and simply accounting-Ability to work positively and effectively with various personality types, ages, genders and cultures-Willingness to take directions and follow instructions-Professional attitudePunctualityJob Type: Part-timeSalary: $15.00-$19.00 per hourSchedule:
