International job opportunities are one of many perks of the Baillie Family.Job descriptionMaintenance Grounds CrewThis truly unique destination requires a remarkable Maintenance Grounds CrewThe successful person will be an integral part of the Maintenance team at Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge (CWL) and will support us to deliver a superior guest experience through the upkeep of CWL.The primary role of Grounds Crew members is the overall care and upkeep of the properties infrastructure, grounds, and trail systems. Providing support to other departments on the resort is a secondary role of this position as well.This position will see you;

• Monitoring & maintain the lodge infrastructure including; building, hiking trails, water treatment systems, vehicles and equipment
• Performing daily checks of maintenance systems
• Check, maintain, and refill propane and diesel fuel as needed
• Assist departments with unloading boat & barge deliveries
• Perform daily waste management including garbage, recycling, and compost
• Communicate with the manager /supervisor on supplies required
• Follow all safety rules guidelines, bylaws and instructions when handling equipment
• General “handyman” duties (ie hanging pictures, replacing light bulbs, etc.)
• Keep all areas of the resort clean, tidy and free of hazards
• Participate in daily tailgate and departmental safety meetings
• Participate in all departmental skills and safety training as provided by CWL
• Provide inter-departmental support when called upon by Maintenance Supervisor or Manager

You will need to have:

• A high level of safety and professionalism
• Strong communication skills
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• A thorough understanding of the lodge operations and the expectations that are involved with guiding high-end guests.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure timelines are met
• Professional work ethic, self-motivated in a cooperative team environment
• The ability to have fun and laugh while working
