We are currently focused on expanding our footprint in Quebec and are looking for experienced insurance professionals who will help us to build a robust client base by providing customized solutions that will protect, comfort, and recover, providing peace of mind to new and existing clients.Our Ogilvy & Ogilvy division is looking for an energetic and passionate Personal Lines Damage Broker who will provide a best-in-class client experience by leveraging their industry knowledge and experience for Quebec-based clients about their personal insurance coverage.COVID-19 Update: Please note in some locations we’ve activated work-from-home plans for our offices. Standard operating hours generally remain intact for offices in the remote environment. We continue to stand ready to serve the needs of our clients.What You’ll Do

  • Providing expert advice, recommendations, and counseling to prospects about their personal insurance coverage geared to their unique needs and exposures
  • Meeting and/or exceeding individual sales & retention targets as well as department goals
  • Preparing documentation for prospects: complete applications for, issue insurance certificates, and set application for processing by internal or external keying team
  • Maintaining professional and collaborative relationships with key underwriters
  • Resolving any concerns or complaints with a professional demeanor by leveraging product and service knowledge
  • Servicing existing accounts or quoting new prospects using Applied Rating Services or Company Portals
  • Quoting new prospects using Applied Rating Services or Company Portals
  • Representing the brokerage at industry functions when required
  • Keeping current on industry changes, underwriting rules, and workflow processes
  • Actively participate in training initiatives
What You Bring
  • Personal Lines Damage Insurance License in good standing required; other provincial licenses are an asset
  • Typically, more than 2 years of industry and/or personal lines experience
  • Extensive experience with Major Domestic Personal Lines Markets (Aviva, Economical, L’Unique, etc.)
  • Passion for service and sales with exceptional quoting skills; committed to delivering a top-notch client experience
  • Possess and display a professional presentation and demeanor as well as a solid understanding of the personal insurance business
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced & demanding environment while keeping customer service a priority
  • Self-managing with strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills expected including fluency in Broker management systems – EPIC & ARS fluency are an asset
  • Ability to quickly learn the NFP business model and value proposition
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, both in person and virtually
  • Strong oral and written communications skills including the ability to communicate clearly and explain complex insurance subjects in both official languages (French and English)
  • Professional insurance designation is a plus (such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.)
