As the Companion Care Outreach Worker, you will play a critical role in building connections with community groups and agencies to recruit and onboard volunteers for the Baptist Housing Companion Care Program. Your efforts will ensure seniors at our Evergreen Campus of Care in White Rock receive personalized support to combat loneliness, illness, disability, and other challenges of aging.About The Role The Companion Care Outreach Worker is a vital position at Baptist Housing, focused on fostering community partnerships and supporting the Companion Care Program, a dedicated initiative in 2025 to provide companionship to seniors. Working closely with the Volunteer Coordinator, you will develop outreach strategies, create presentation materials, draft processes, and build relationships with local organizations to recruit volunteers for this meaningful program. This role will also support the expansion of the partnership model to Baptist Housing’s seniors’ residences across British Columbia. In this role, you will collaborate with team members to identify resident needs, establish networks with community organizations, and develop materials to support volunteer recruitment and training. You will also maintain documentation, collect data, and provide updates to ensure the program’s success. This is a temporary, full-time position for 8 weeks, with a commitment of 35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $18.00. Key Responsibilities Community Outreach and Partnership Development:
