About the Role As a Resident Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to seniors in our residential community. Your main responsibility will be assisting residents with daily activities, including personal care, grooming, and mealtimes, while promoting a safe and supportive environment. You will follow personalized care plans designed to meet the unique needs of each resident, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care. Beyond providing physical assistance, you will engage with residents, fostering meaningful connections and contributing to their emotional and social well-being. Working collaboratively with a dedicated care team, you will also ensure that residents feel respected and valued. By maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with nursing staff, you help ensure that each resident’s care plan is followed and continuously improved. Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care, grooming, dressing, mobility, and mealtimes
  • Follow and contribute to individualized care plans that support residents’ dignity and health
  • Maintain a clean, safe-living environment in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Accurately document care and promptly report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team
  • Support new residents during their transition and encourage engagement in the community
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Assistant Program
  • Current registration and in good standing with the BC Care Aideamp; Community Health Worker Registry
  • First Aid Level 1
  • High school diploma
  • Current Food Safe certificate
  • Current WHMIS certification

  • Schedule: Permanent Part-Time Night Shift – 0.870 FTE (Approximately 32.6 hours per week)
Compensation and Benefits   
  • We provide a competitive compensation package with an hourly wage of $29.83
