Job Description

Windsor and Toronto, OntarioCapital Assist is a multi-disciplinary group of companies which leverages the unique skills and experienceof its team to deliver comprehensive, sound advice to its clients with offices in Windsor and Toronto,Ontario. It comprises of Capital Assist (Valuation) Inc., focused on business valuation, litigation support andtransaction advisory services and Capital Assist Professional Corporation, an accounting, assurance andtaxation advisory practice. The group is designed to help meet all of the financial goals and objectives of itsdiverse client base and is seeking a motivated individual who possesses strong financial and analytical skillsthat will excel in a dynamic, team-based environment.To learn more about our company, please visit our website, www.capitalassist.ca.Reporting to senior management, the Analyst is responsible for working on a variety of engagements,providing research and technical support, identifying and handling issues on files, conducting financialanalysis and assisting in the preparation of reports.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in engagement planning including preparation of information requests, identification of key
issues and approach/methodology
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and schedules for business valuation, litigation support
assignments, forensic accounting investigations and various strategic and financial analysis mandates
  • Develop financial analysis and models in Excel, including detailed analysis of historical and projected
financial results, cash flow forecasts and budgets
  • Conducting market and industry research, benchmarking analysis and compilation of comparable
company data and transactions
  • Communicate with clients including correspondence, meetings and discussions and follow-up
  • Provide support to clients with accounting services including preparation of the year end records and
internal financial reporting as well as corporate, personal and Trust tax returnsJob Qualifications:
  • Business degree with 1 to 5 years of relevant post-graduate experience acquired in accounting,
business valuation and litigation support, corporate finance, investment banking, research or othersimilar finance role
  • CPA, CBV, CFA, and/or MBA viewed positively
  • Strong skills in financial modeling and research
  • Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint skills; proficiency with
S&P Capital IQ and PowerBi would be considered an asset
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including writing and verbal skills
  • Ability to work on multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Ability to work well both autonomously and in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
