Job Description

Transforming the Future with Convergence of Simulation and DataCAE - AssociateJob Summary:Our client in Windsor, ON is looking for a CAE - Associate. This is a contract position.What You Will Do:The CAE Engineer - Electromagnetics & Electrical is responsible for developing 1D/2D/3D simulation models from physical properties for electric-motors (SynRM, SRM & IM) and generate outputs for design.The expected job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Develop electromagnetic analysis models for electric-motors starting from geometry, materials and electric-current.
  • Perform electromagnetic analysis and post-process results.
  • Evaluate efficiency of electric-motor and generate loss-maps.
  • Generate force-data from electromagnetic analysis model and post-process using Matlab scripts.
Basics:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience design and simulation of electric-machine (electric-motors), high-voltage systems, 3-phase AC systems.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience with CAE tools for Electrical and Electromagnetic analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of the English language including both written and oral communication.
  • Proficiency in one of the Electrical CAE tools - ANSYS Maxwell, Altair Flux, Simcenter MotorSolve, CST Studio.
  • Familiarity in MATLAB, Simulink, Simplorer.
Preferred:
  • Master of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering is preferred).
  • DFSS green or black belt certification.
