Job Description

Manager of Community PartnershipsAt Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE), we give people the tools they need to solve their problems and make positive changes in their lives. If you want work that encourages innovation and continuous improvement, while making Windsor-Essex a better place to live, you belong on our team.In support of the mission and mandate of Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE), the incumbent provides overall coordination and supervision of Community Partnerships including CommUnity Partnership (CUP), Income Tax Clinic and Mediation Services. The Manager supervises a team of professional staff and volunteers that deliver direct services.

  • Leading the Community Partnerships Team.
  • Providing supervision to the Community Partnerships Department, specifically the positions of CommUnity Partnership (CUP) staff, Income Tax Clinic and Mediation staff and volunteers.
  • Supporting team through peer and individual supervision.
  • Ensuring all protocols and standards are adhered to.
  • Ensuring all accreditation standards for the programs are met.
  • Ensuring all Community Partnerships employees, students, interns, volunteers, and contract workers are aware of and adhere to the Agency’s standards of conduct and policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all Community Partnerships employees, students, interns, volunteers, and contract workers are maintaining regular and consistent attendance, and punctuality and are aware of and adhering to applicable Health & Safety plans and protocols.
  • Leading department meetings on a regular basis to ensure effective communication between staff, management, and the people we support.
  • Promoting and encouraging staff participation in learning opportunities.
  • Arranging for in service presentations to maintain and augment the skills of the team.
  • Ensuring all members of the Community Partnerships team adhere to any legislated revisions required for professional practice.
  • Completing an Annual Performance Appraisal for each employee under your direct supervision.
  • Compiling statistical information on program utilization.
  • Assessing statistical information on program utilization, relative to program efficiencies, budgetary considerations, and the public interest.
  • Evaluating programs using approved outcome measurement tools.
  • When directed by the Executive Director, investigating and responding to complaints and concerns from people we support.
  • Dealing with all requests from people we support and stakeholders in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Participating in community events to promote/ provide information on FSWE.
  • Providing leadership coverage in the absence of the Executive Director, in conjunction with the other Agency Managers and Coordinators
Key Qualifications:
  • Degree from an accredited University
  • 10 years experience in a related field preferred.
  • Experience supervising a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit organization would be an asset.
