Job Description

The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board is looking to hire a temporary Sign Language Interpreter for Elementary & Secondary Schools. Candidates will be required to work as neededto cover absences. You will also be required to work throughout Windsor and Essex County.Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter as recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience as a Sign Language Interpreter are required.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language is required.
  • Ability to facilitate communication between a deaf student and hearing teachers and peers in a classroom setting.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Experience working with persons with special needs.
