INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING YOUTH HUB CLERICAL COVERAGE CASUAL POSITIONS LOCATION: Temporarily located at Maryvale, 3640 Wells Street, Windsor.The Youth Wellness Hub is expected to be relocated to a new permanent location to be confirmed in late 2022.Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario has recently opened a multi-service hub for youth aged 12-25 in Windsor-Essex. CMHA-WECB is proud to support the Hub in joint leadership with HDGH, Maryvale, The Bridge, WECHC and United Way, and in collaboration with over 20 partner organizations. Supports and services provided at the Windsor-Essex Youth Wellness Hub (YWH) include, but are not limited to, mental health, substance use/addictions, primary care, employment/training, housing, skills and well-being activities, and other community and social services. The Clerical Coverage employee will be responsible for welcoming and supporting youth through the incumbent’s disclosure of their lived experience in one-on-one and group settings. They will create a welcoming culture, perform reception duties, provide administrative support to management and staff, and maintain My Wellness Passport database, clinical records, and generate reports. The incumbent will be part of an interdisciplinary team, and as a “non-clinical†member of the team they will not offer any therapeutic intervention, but will support youth with accessing resources and support that can help them to achieve their full potential. The incumbent uses empowerment and recovery-oriented approaches in individual and group settings. The incumbent may be required to intervene in crisis situations.Clerical Coverage staff will support and assist in creating a safe and accepting environment for youth with a special emphasis on the 2SLGBTQ+, Indigenous youth and other marginalized community youth.Casual Clerical Coverage staff will provide coverage for shifts as operationally required. The Youth Wellness Hub is open youth-friendly hours and therefore, availability for shift coverage on evenings and Saturdays is required.Responsibilities and Duties:
