ST. JAMES-ASSINIBOIA SCHOOL DIVISION"Great Schools for Growing and Learning"SCHOOL GUIDANCE COUNSELLORRemote Learning Support CentreTerm positions 2021-2022 school yearSt. James-Assiniboia School Division, in partnership with Manitoba Education is recruiting forone full-time and one part-time (50%) Guidance Counsellors who will work as part of theRemote Learning Support Centre for the 2021-2022 school year.Applicants must possess:

  • Valid Manitoba Teacher’s Certificate and either a Post Bac in Counselling or a Special
Education Certificate in Counselling or be eligible to obtain said certificate
  • Demonstrated ability in diagnostic assessment and teaching
  • Skills, aptitude and knowledge applicable to working effectively in a virtual classroom,
small groups and one-on-one, with parents, staff and students in a collaborativemanner
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Knowledge of curricula
  • Experience with students with a variety of exceptional needs
  • Management skills relative to supervision of educational assistants.
