ZenFri Inc. is currently looking for an experienced 3D Artist with a passion for crafting innovative story-driven experiences on virtual reality platforms and upcoming immersive projects. Successful candidates will be able to work from home and join the Manitoba-based team. Preference is given to those who have experience creating a video game in a team setting.NOTE: When applying please link to your portfolio - your work is much more important to us than your listed education and on-the-job experience.Role and Responsibilities: You will be working as part of the art team to develop 3D assets for highly innovative interactive experiences. Working directly with the team lead, you will generate characters, animations and graphical assets and take part in animation rigging, rendering, texturing, lighting, and shading tasks, with the goal of creating a fun and beautifully rendered experience.· Contribute to the design of individual game components including characters, setting and props· Contribute to and challenge designs to encourage creation of the best quality product· Model, texture and implement 3D characters and assets· Rig and Animate 3D characters· Create and maintain documentation, and proper file versioning· Work closely with the technical artist and implementation team to ensure assets are easily and properly integrated into projects· Attend meetings with the team virtually and/or on site, as requiredAn Ideal Candidate: · Lives in Manitoba· Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in 3D animation, graphic design, visual effects, or related field, and/or related experience· Strong foundation in drawing, animation, and 3D design skills· Technical proficiency in 3D software applications such as: Blender and/or Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or After Effects or Autodesk· Experience using Unity· Excellent communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills· Have a keen sense of how to blend storytelling with engaging visuals· Ability to work in a team and independently as required to achieve project deliverablesStrong Assets: · Passion for gaming and creating experiences that visually wow and inspire· VR or AR experience· Knowledge of Houdini, and an understanding of vector math and physics fundamentalsJob Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractSalary: $16.00-$22.00 per hourBenefits:
