  • Contribute to profitable growth and quality of the Broker Financing Program by providing financial solutions and related activities for broker customers.
  • Ensure that the underwriting of credit applications in a timely manner, for authorization by senior management.
  • Ensure sound risk analysis, deal structuring, security and monitoring is afforded to all new and existing broker financing arrangements, minimizing potential losses.
  • Conduct Annual Reviews on existing accounts in a timely manner adhering to compliance regulations.
  • Develop strong customer relationships by providing prompt, advice based solutions to their requests.
  • Negotiate credit structure and terms with senior management group and customers.
  • Liaise with legal representation in the preparation of Loan Agreements and Security.
  • Liaise with other financial institution partners, as required.
  • Manage operational activities to ensure accurate and efficient completion of all processes.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary Degree in business or finance
  • 10+ years of commercial lending experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • High level of knowledge in financial statement analysis, credit analysis, risk management, capital structures, accounting principles and policies, and complex loan documentation and security.
  • In-depth knowledge of lending practices, procedures and regulatory environment.
  • Proficient level of technology skills; Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, self-motivator.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, with strong negotiating skills.
  • A team player that can work in a collaborative environment.
