Qualifications:Essential:
  • Experience performing cashier functions, including processing payments, balancing daily deposits, handling large amounts of cash, monthly reconciliation and using cashier-related office equipment (e.g. Point of Sale Terminal)
  • Experience performing clerical and administrative duties, including filing, preparing correspondence, and processing mail
  • Experience providing excellent client or customer service, including responding to inquiries, explaining requirements, and providing direction
  • Experience is supervising staff, delegating and evaluating work assignments and training
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as contribute to a respectful workplace
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to meet work related deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflict
  • Ability to take initiative and make independent decisions while working under minimum supervision
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and pay attention to detail
  • Excellent English written communication skills
  • Excellent English verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Desired:
  • Completion of a recognized accounting program OR successful completion or partial completion of a professional accounting designation and/or formal accounting education from a recognized institution.
Duties:The Accounting Supervisor reports to the Administration Officer. This position is accountable for the cash handling and control functions of the Revenue and Trust Processing Unit located at 408 York Ave., as well as the receipt and legislated allocation of revenue and trust disbursements pursuant to court processes.
