The Adjudicator is the first point of contact in the WCB Short Term Claims department responsible for managing all aspects of a WCB claim up to 14 weeks in duration, and Hearing Loss claims for the entire length of the claim. Each day the team of Adjudicators responds to and initiates inquiries to claim stakeholders including injured workers, employers, representatives, healthcare practitioners and other specialized service providers to facilitate the coordinated management of the claim and to ensure the WCB goal of "Putting Customers at the Centre of All we do" is achieved.Applications must be received by Sunday, August 28, 2022 on our website: https://www.wcb.mb.ca/wcbdoes/Conditions of Employment:

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a two (2) year diploma in a related discipline
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in a similar environment making entitlement decisions based on a defined set of criteria (ie. policies, procedures, legislation, etc.) including client service experience
  • Ability to communicate proficiently in both official languages (English & French) is an asset.
Duties:The Adjudicator is responsible for adjudicating and managing Time Loss claims up to 8 weeks duration; Medical Treatment claims up to 14 weeks; Occupational Disease claims up to 8 weeks and Hearing Loss claims for the duration of the claim. As well, they are responsible for adjudicating Fatality claims.
