Become part of a strong and successful company that’s trusted by millions of Canadians to do the right thing.Be your best at Canada Life.We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist, AdministrationReporting to the , Administration IFR, you will be responsible for processing requests for Group Retirement Investment Only Plans both Registered and Non-registered products. You’ll provide investment/plan recordkeeping and client reporting. You must become familiar with GRS processes.What you will do

  • Processing of bulk and single deposits
  • Handling of transfers between investment funds for client/member assets
  • Processing of transfers between registered plans from/to other financial institutions
  • Completion of monthly/quarterly reporting spreadsheets
  • Handling plan and member maintenance on GP36 Main Frame system
  • Handling various inquiries, telephone calls etc. from multiple audiences
  • Fostering relationships with plan administrators, brokers, advisors and Investment Councilors
  • Handling sensitive and complex issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Managing daily system close off
What you will bring

  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Organized and able to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Self-motivated with an ability to effectively multi-task and be comfortable with tight deadlines; results oriented
  • Ability to instill quality in day-to-day activities/processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills - team player a must
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations as they relate to GRS products an asset, but not required
  • Knowledge of Canada Life Mainframe system an asset, but not required
  • Bilingual French/English an asset
  • Ability to begin your day by 6:15 on a rotating basis and work the occasional Saturday morning
