Job Description

Bouygues Energies & Services, a leading provider of Facilities Management services across Canada, is hiring a permanent full-time Airport Operations Centre (AOC) Operator for the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport.Reporting to the Team Lead and the Airport Support Services Manager, the successful candidate will act as a central point of communication and will facilitate and execute airport operating plans as they relate to aircraft, security, weather, and general facility events. The AOC Operator will respond to and support Winnipeg Airport Authority employees and the public during emergency events. The AOC Operator will monitor multiple radio channels, phone lines, and access control systems while completing a variety of work orders, logs, and reports. The AOC Operator plays a vital role in coordinating, facilitating, and executing the needs of our internal and external customers.This role is a unionized position with the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and all wages and benefits are set as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Currently, the wage is $18.46 per hour ($1 less during the probationary period).The successful applicants must be willing to work a rotating 4x4 schedule of both 12-hour day and night shifts (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am). There will be mandatory training provided for three weeks, Monday through Friday during business hours. All employees must be able to obtain and retain a Transport Security Clearance.The successful applicant will also demonstrate:

  • Work experience in a related field – airport or dispatch experience is considered an asset;
  • High School diploma required;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook;
  • Well-developed keyboarding skills;
  • Knowledge of security systems such as CCTV, access control and fire alarms;
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism;
  • The ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced, and multi-tasking environment;
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
