Job Description

Norstar Industries Ltd. is a family-owned manufacturer located in Morris, MB. At Norstar we build conveyance equipment for the agriculture, agri-industrial and industrial markets. Norstar is also the home of the U-Drainâ„¢ floor drainage system. To do this, we need an exceptional team. We are now seeking experienced individuals to join our Night shift Assembly team.As an Assembly Technician, you will work with a team to ensure proper assembly, quality and reliability of Norstar products prior to the shipping process.Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday - 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (4-10 hour shifts)Responsibilities of the Job: Including, but not limited to the following:

  • Read and interpret documentation and assemble components accordingly
  • Ensure the quality of finished product
  • Ensure the suitability of product for shipping
  • Operate tools and hoists to effectively complete jobs according to Norstar Safety Standards.
  • Maintain safe work practices.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance and safety concerns
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently in a busy environment
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Physical ability to lift up to 45lbs
  • Steel-toed safety boots are required
  • Willingness to work Overtime as required
