Strong supervisory skills are required to ensure the team completes their large volume of work accurately and in a timely manner.What you will doResponsible for the day to day ASO operations of the Group Customer Finance unit.Respond to client inquiries and issues relating to their bank accounts. The Associate Mgr. is involved in the most complex or sensitive situations.Develop and process Monthly Accounting Entries for various business areas within Group Customer.Responsible for the Balance Sheet Review for the Group Division including the development and maintenance of account documentation.Responsible for Quarterly Reporting for the major benefit types (Life, Health & LTD), client segments (National, Mid or Small Groups), as well as client types (ASO, Refund, Non-Refund, Specialty Products, etc.) and ensuring all individual reports by sub-line reconcile to SAP (Corporate General Ledger) at the consolidated level.Responsible for Regulatory Reporting (OSFI requirements).Special Reports and Projects relating to ASO or Group Insurance Premiums.What you will bringCompletion of a post-secondary degree or equivalent with concentration in Business/Accounting/Financial.5 -7 years of experience working in a financial area or related jobs with experience managing staff for several of those years.Proficient in Microsoft office tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).Knowledge of systems such as SAP, Cognos, and various mainframe systems (PAS, GS32, GH09, etc) would be an asset.Knowledge of accounting principles.Very good presentation and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of group Life and Health insurance products is desirable.Must be able to establish priorities to meet tight deadlines.Flexible when working with changing deliverables on competing priorities.Strong team orientation.Be your best at Canada Life- Apply todayWe are one of Canada's top 100 employers!Canada Life serves the financial security needs of more than 13 million people across Canada, with additional operations in Europe and the United States.
