Job Description

TitleHIAB Operator/Driver - Class 3Position summaryIf you know anything about the construction business, then you know that getting the right products to the right site, on-time and safely, are the benchmarks of success. It is both challenging AND rewarding work. We are Team Convoy, and we want folks with great people skills on our team, because in the end – people make all the difference. We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated CDL drivers for our Winnipeg location at 1330 Inkster Blvd. who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.Job requirements

  • Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Load and unload materials
  • Comply with company and government regulations and rules
  • Ensure load securement including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
  • Match shipments to sales invoices
  • Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service
  • Operate truck safely
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act
  • Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements
Qualifications
  • Class 3 CDL with clean driver’s abstract
  • HIAB experience/crane certification required
  • Preferably having at least 3 years of driving experience
  • Must be able to physically lift up to 100 lbs
  • Manual Transmission experience is an asset
  • Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
  • Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Able to pass a Criminal Background check
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
