Job Description

To achieve the highest standard of excellence in customer service and store operations, as both a leader and hands-on employee.Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the position is to assist the General Manager in operating the Beer Store on a daily basis. The Manager will assist in achieving the financial goal as set forth in the budget. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all employees will achieve the standards and goals set by Canad Inns. Working within all departments, the Manager is expected to be a hotel leader, and will possess the ability to work closely with a variety of different people. As Manager, he or she must be willing to work as a hands-on employee, assisting in every area as necessary.Opening Duties:

• Gather and prepare all tools and equipment;
• Count all inventory with the assistance of the inventory accountant, and reconcile receipts of the previous day;
• Update the cash register with any price changes;
• Perform a daily walk-through of the entire store, to ensure cleanliness and overall appearance;
• Complete all opening duties of Clerks in their absence.

Shift Duties:

• Prepare beer orders and ordering beer on ATLAS
• Complete all administrative duties
• Ensure all staff uniform and hygiene standards are met;
• Help the Clerks with their duties as necessary;
• Lead, coach, train and motivate employees;
• Maintain a presence on the store floor and assist in different areas as needed;
• Meet with company representatives and organize promotions/tastings/displays;
• Organize beer permit deliveries;
• Oversee store operations to ensure job descriptions and expectations are met;
• Perform Clerk duties in their absence;
• Stock and tidy all promotional displays.

Closing Duties: 1. Ensure relief personnel are ready for the shift changeover;2. Communicate any pertinent information to employees;3. Perform all Clerk closing duties in their absence.Qualifications:

• Able to work full-time hours, days, evenings and/or weekends;
• Articulately communicates both verbally and in writing;
• Can acquire Criminal Background Check, Smart Choices & Forklift Handler certificates
• Clean with good hygiene habits;
• Experience in a similar setting in a management or supervisor role;
• Extroverted personality;
• General knowledge of product and merchandise, product and labour costing, inventory controls and staff management;
• Good disposition;
• Leadership skills;
• Multi-tasks efficiently;
• Organized, accurate and reliable;
• Recognizes and resolves problems quickly and efficiently;
• Strong mathematics and basic computer skills;
• Ability to use Microsoft excel, word and ATLAS ordering system

Supplies & Equipment:

• Clean and pressed uniform with name tag
• Valid driver’s license
