Someone who is a winner, competitor and most importantly, wants to work WITH Explore… not FOR Explore… to be the best!Are you the right person to join our media advertising sales team—and our core purpose of Inspiring Outdoor ExperiencesThe PositionThe ideal BDM will work tirelessly to identify and develop advertising clients who will thrive within Explore Outdoor Media Inc.’s media channels (Explore Magazine, website, social media, podcast, email newsletter). The BDM will use a powerful tech stack to forecast and deliver to budget. The BDM will work directly with our Sales Support Coordinator (SSC), ensuring client satisfaction. The BDM will align with company growth plans, continuously developing sales plans and product offerings to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded.Your WorkdayThe ideal BDM is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with advertising partners in both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will forecast and meet or exceed sales/sponsorship goals, communicate regularly with President and operations team to set direction of advertising plans, stay abreast of trends within relevant industries and maintain high-level of product knowledge for all relevant channels. This is a remote/hybrid work environment.Key Functions

  • Prospect, develop, maintain and close media advertising sales for Explore Outdoor Media Inc.
  • Coordinate with SSC to ensure timely flow and implementation of all advertising copy and sponsorship material/products.
  • Adopt and utilize Explore Outdoor Media Inc’s Tech Stack.
  • Deliver ROI and campaign reports to advertisers/sponsors.
  • Forecast sales and meet or exceed targets
  • Participate in regular meetings and adhere to scorecard metrics.
Education & Experience
  • 3+ years in media sales or related industry
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to prospect, manage and close sales of advertising across multiple media channels within Explore Outdoor Media Inc.
  • Ability to work independently, with high-level accountability and regular communications with President and operations team.
  • High-level Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with CRM (Hubspot) and sales/insertion order platforms.
  • Experience working in print and digital media.
  • Knowledge of and interest in outdoor recreation.
This is a highly commission-based position, with a salary plus guaranteed draw against commission. The position is eligible for benefits package (medical, dental, extended health plan).
