The Linden Woods Community Centre is currently hiring for the Summer Camp Counselor position (3). Applicants must be ages 16-29.The Linden Woods Community Centre offers a variety of activities with our summer camp program including sports, arts & crafts, water activities and other leisure activities. The Centre offers both outdoor and indoor amenities to run the summer camps including a gym, MPR, tennis courts, soccer fields and splash pad.The duties of the Summer Camp Counselor will include, but not limited to:· Instructing daily events and activities for campers· Provide campers with unique and stimulating leisure activities· Provide campers and staff with a safe camp environment· Maintain camper information and daily sign in/out records· Maintaining cleanliness after all camp activities· Any other duties assigned by the General Manager or Camp CoordinatorThis position reports to the General Manager. This is a seasonal position up to 40 hours per week starting late-June until the end of August. The position pays $12.00 per hour. Candidates must be available all 8 weeks of the summer. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to work independently and with a group. Previous child-care or children’s programming experience is considered an asset.The successful candidate will be required to provide a clear Criminal Record check and Child Abuse registry check upon hiring.
