Custom Castings Ltd. is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Toolamp; Die Maker. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain the life of molds, jigs, and fixtures while producing high-quality tools and machined components through the use of CNC and manual equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with advanced technical skills and a passion for precision machining.Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate, maintain, and repair tooling and their components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Program, set up, and operate various CNC and manual equipment.
  • Implement preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for tooling issues.
  • Engineer and produce new molds, jigs, and fixtures based on engineering specifications.
  • Document tooling modifications and repairs accurately for traceability.
  • Foster positive relationships with supervisors and colleagues to enhance team collaboration.
  • Maintain an organized and safe workstation in compliance with 5S principles.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in CNC programming and manual machining.
  • Red Seal certification as a Machinist or Toolmaker (or working towards certification).
  • Ability to work with CAM software or willingness and ability to learn it.
  • MasterCAM experience considered an asset.
  • Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills.
  • Proficiency with manual lathe, mill, and other shop equipment.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and root cause analysis.
  • Basic email and MS Office skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Recent graduates with relevant education are encouraged to apply.
