We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewUnder the general supervision of the Supervisor, Health Records Processing/Transcription, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the CLERK TYPIST III is responsible for: sorting out all late reports; placing them in terminal digit order and filing in appropriate charts; and performing other related duties as assigned.Experience

  • Six (6) months experience in the Health Records department of a hospital or
  • One (1) year related clerical experience
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade XII or recognized equivalent
Certification/Licensure/RegistrationNot applicable.Qualifications and Skills
  • Keyboarding Speed: 45 w.p.m.
  • Ability to work in a Windows operating environment
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Legible handwriting
Physical RequirementsThis position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
