The opportunity:Wellington-Altus is currently recruiting for a Client Service Associate to work with an established and growing wealth advisory team. The successful candidate for this role will be forward-thinking and client-focused, with the ability to succeed in a high-volume team environment.Reporting to the team, the Client Service Associate will participate in a broad range of administrative, operational, and marketing projects and tasks to support the efficient and successful operations of the team.   • Independently and proactively completing administrative (ex. preparing letters, client communication pieces etc.) and account management tasks (ex. preparing DocuSign information converting RRSP to RRIF, setting up RRIF payments, estates, beneficiary updates, issuing cheques, deposits, contributions and withdrawals, incoming and outgoing transfers etc).
  • Assisting in preparing Advisors for client meetings, including preparation of account opening documentation, product research, etc.
  • Working towards gaining the ability to research, analyze, and execute trade orders across a portfolio of securities in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Researching industry-related information from a variety of sources as requested by Advisors.
  • Managing the Senior Wealth Advisors calendar and booking meetings; scheduling client appointments; organizing client events.
  • Participating in and helping to organize marketing initiatives, including online, virtual and in person
  • Committing to a rigorous follow-up relating to all client transactions to ensure proper processing and minimization of errors.
  • Proactively staying informed and up-to-date regarding Company and industry policies and procedures and compliance bulletins / updates.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of industry experience, preferably in an administrative or operational capacity.
  • Completion of CSC and/or CPH are a strong asset.
  • IR or RR licensed with IIROC is an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundamental topics related to the financial and securities industry, including investment and insurance products and services.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to proactively organize and manage a high volume of time-sensitive work.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure financial and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • A client-focused attitude with a commitment to providing extraordinary service to high-net-worth clients.
  • A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with financial tools is an asset.
  • A demonstrated, reliable work ethic with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • An ability to adapt to quickly changing needs and work requirements.
