Our vision is to lead the global building products industry with great people creating superior products and delivering excellence in all that we do.Credit and Collections Specialist – Woodbridge (Toronto)Position: Credit and Collections SpecialistReports To: Credit and Collections Department ManagerLocation: Toronto, Ontario (Vaughan)SummaryReporting to the Credit and Collections Department Manager CCD, The Credit and Collection Specialist will be responsible for the day to day credit underwriting and collection processes.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain customer master files, accounts and data managementEvaluate customer’s credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending creditPrepare recommendation regarding the degree of risk in extending a credit line and/or credit term to a customerConferring with credit associations and references to exchange credit information on customersDay to day, account reconciliation and adjustments, as need beAdvising and negotiating delinquent accountsConferring with customers to verify their financial/credit transactions and to resolve their complaintsEstablish and maintain payment plansProcess and distribute customer statementsAssist with AuditsAssist with reporting, stats, graphs, etc.Provide “World Class” customer serviceInteraction, reporting and communicating with all pertinent administrative and operational groups; Credit, Legal, Risk, Sales, Customer Care, Plants, etc.Pursue and process all forms of security, including PPSA, Personal Guarantees, Liens, Bonds, Letters of Credit, etc.Builder Business Tasks:Contract reviewConstruction Liens (Ontario & Quebec)Process Denunciations, as requiredIssue Quittances (partial and final), as requiredObtain and provide project completions, declarations, certificates, etc.Qualifications:A Minimum of three (3) years of credit and collection experience;Working knowledge of standard office equipmentComputer skills: proficiency in MS Office; Excel, Word, etc.Excellent time management skillsAbility to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detailDispute resolution skillsStrong negotiating skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills (Bilingual French is an asset)Organizational skillsBachelor’s Degree – Finance or Accounting is an assetCredit & Collection Certification is an assetConstruction Legislation – as it relates to Quebec and Ontario is an assetComputer skills: proficiency in Unix, Access, ERP, SAP+ would be considered an assetShould you be interested in this opportunity, please email your resume with salary expectations and “Credit and Collections Specialist” in the subject line to HRToronto@jeldwen.com.
