We offer an exciting place to build your career with competitive compensation and benefit packages, company matching RRSP/DPSP program and employee home purchase program.Job OverviewReporting to the Director, Communications and Corporate Responsibility, as the Communications and Marketing Specialist you will implement and evaluate effective internal marketing and communications plans targeted at Qualico employees across Western Canada and US operations.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in creating and implementing effective internal marketing and communications plans to support business goals and align with company priorities.
  • Creating, designing, and publishing content on Qualico’s intranet and internal newsletters.
  • Project managing multiple active campaigns, editorial calendars, and day-to-day tasks.
  • Measuring and tracking engagement success of internal communication programs to make recommendations ensuring maximum impact.
  • Coordinating and promoting employee virtual and team building events such as professional development events and volunteering.

Essential Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of marketing or communications related experience.
  • Experience using website content management tools and/or HTML email marketing tools.
  • Experience with any of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) or similar software.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Digital marketing, event planning and/or advertising agency-related experience is a strong asset.

Work ConditionsYou primarily work in an office setting with occasional travel to off-site meetings.
