We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewThe Community Team Manager is responsible for community area health services in the specified community area.In the context of Winnipeg Integrated Services, the Community Team Manager:

  • Applies key knowledge and critical thinking skills related to health and social science knowledge
  • Applies skills to assesses and analyzes information
  • Plans, implements and evaluates policies, programs and/or practice:
  • Builds partnerships, collaborating and advocating
  • Manages services for diverse individuals, groups and communities
  • Communicates effectively with others
  • Provides leadership including
    • Driving system and organizational results
    • Building capacity and improving performance
    • Team building and conflict management
    • Problem solving and decision making
    • Administrative and resource management
  • Builds professional responsibility and accountability
Experience
  • The incumbent should have a minimum of four years related work experience and have demonstrated successful leadership, program coordination, supervisory and management skills.
  • Two years of management experience preferred.
  • Some positions may require other specific experience.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • An undergraduate degree in a health or social services related field is required.
  • Some positions may require a bachelor of nursing degree.
  • A Master degree in a relevant business, health or social services is preferred.
  • Some positions may require or prefer additional specific education.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Some positions may require full membership in good standing with a professional organization or with the College of Registered Nurses.
  • Possession of a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License required.

  • Demonstrates budgeting and financial reporting skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Access to a reliable motor vehicle suitable for all environmental conditions.
  • Subject to immunizations and tuberculin testing as per WRHA Policy.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
