Job Description

Description - Computer Operator: Distributed Console Operations:

  • Second Level Support,
  • This team is a core member of the SWAT Team, engaged for MIs, providing support for the MIO & Team,
-As the Trigger point for MIs - Operators use their understanding of the Client Environment and Infrastructure to consider all monitoring requirements, which then influences their response to the MI team; to consider a non-issue, record and move on, troubleshoot, escalate or trigger an MI,-CSLs & SLAs - Decisions made, and actions taken or not taken by the Operators in response to the environments they monitor, are directly aligned with CSLs and SLAs requirements; with potential penalty of 150k per miss,
  • Operators remain on the MI call for all escalations to key members of SWAT and assist MI Team in opening Amadeus incidents,
  • Operators are responsible for engaging 200+ third party Vendors for reporting issues
  • This is an essential service and therefore requires Operators to work in-office, however, in the event of Disaster Recovery or as dictated by a Pandemic, Operators must have the ability to work from home.
  • CLIENT FACING: This position requires the ability to work with a multitude of customers and peers from across the globe, often explaining complex technical assessments and solutions,
  • Attention to detail and focus are important in this fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently but also be accountable to a team is important.
  • This environment rapidly evolves to meet the client demand.
Requirements
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to alarms; take appropriate action in a timely manner as noted above in detail,
  • Be accountable to the Technical Lead for all actions taken,
  • Action scheduled activities / changes alone or as part of a team,
  • Receive phone calls from the client or peers for investigation or action,
  • Work within a team environment to react to severity incidents,
  • Onsite Team of 3 Operators continually monitor the status of a variety of Distributed, Network, and ITOC Systems, spread over 13 computer monitors at one time, as well as phone and email alerts, report or action as required, and
  • Digital work environment.

  • Excellence in English communication skills is required, both verbal and written (Client facing),
  • High competency in understanding, performing activities and changes in each, Distributed or Midrange, Linux, Unix, and Windows OS
