Wawanesa actively gives back to organizations that strengthen communities where it operates, donating well above internationally recognized benchmarks for excellence in corporate philanthropy.We are currently looking for dedicated, driven, and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in an environment that welcomes change and are looking for an opportunity for diverse experience and advancement on a growing team.Job OverviewUnder general direction and supervision of the Supervisor, Group Insurance – Contracts & Service, the Contract Administrator is responsible for maintaining, updating, and issuing, group insurance contracts and booklets to ensure insurance provisions are communicated to Plan Sponsors and Plan Members in a clear and accurate manner.Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare contracts and booklets based on new group applications using established templates
  • Liaise with the Group Underwriting department to amend contract and booklet wording to reflect requested changes
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to complete contract and booklet requests in a productive and courteous manner
  • Send booklets to customers via email upon request
  • Liaise with the print shop to have booklets printed on request
  • Meet company service standards by maintaining active tasks on SharePoint
  • Respond to contract, booklet and general coverage inquiries from other departments and branch offices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year of administrative office experience
  • Post-secondary education in a related field would be considered an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills, specifically with Word
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review information carefully and comprehensively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage and execute tasks independently within required timelines and expectations
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
  • Experience with Group Insurance an asset
