Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Automation & Controls, you will be responsible for instrumentation and process control systems for our processing plants and port terminal operations.Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement PLC and HMI process control systems projects
  • Provide support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, investigate and analyze repetitive failures and make recommendations for remediation
  • Define, measure and execute process optimization projects
  • Analyze and interpret process control drawings; stay abreast of codes and government regulations
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance program for process control systems
  • Act as a technical lead to front line operations and maintenance department staff
  • Able to travel 25% to 40% annually, depending on project demand requirements
Qualifications:
  • Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years PLC and HMI experience, preferably in the agri-industrial or food processing industries
  • Project management experience
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to provide technical support to operating plants
