Job Description

We currently have an opportunity in our Corporate Tax department located in our Winnipeg Head Office.We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong analytical skills to join our team. You will help the company achieve its growth objectives, through support on tax projects and strategic tax planning. This position will also be responsible for contributing to the preparation of the tax provision and tax compliance for Richardson International.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations
  • Work with external financial auditors on quarterly and annual audits
  • Prepare domestic corporate tax returns and assist with co-ordination of international tax compliance filings
  • Evaluate current and proposed tax processes with specific emphasis on the annual tax provision
  • Effectively manage relationships with external tax consultants
  • Assist with the preparation of safe income, adjusted cost base, foreign affiliate surplus, and other tax related calculations
  • Assist in strategic tax planning, audit management and other projects as required
  • Research technical issues regarding corporate income tax and indirect tax matters
  • Prepare tax calculations and scenario analyses on an ad hoc basis for potential transactions or to assist with management decision making
Qualifications:
  • Professional accounting designation
  • Canadian and/or US corporate tax experience considered an asset
  • Enrolled in or an interest in pursuing the In-Depth Tax Course
  • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
