CPHR Program ManagerAdvancing the Human Resource ProfessionCPHR Manitoba works to advance the Human Resources profession and to bring the highest standards of HR practice into Manitoba’s workplaces. With over 1,700 members, the association is the sole granting body of the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation within Manitoba.Our CPHR Manitoba staff are dynamic, flexible, creative, energizing, and passionate about providing value to our members, the association, and our partners.In the last five years, CPHR Manitoba has significantly advanced the HR profession and increased awareness of how it protects the public and facilitates business growth. As a result, our membership has increased - more future leaders wish to enter the profession and practicing HR professionals desire to become CPHRs. To help HR professionals achieve the designation and advance in their careers, CPHR Manitoba is seeking a CPHR Program Manager.POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CPHR Program Manageracts as the Deputy CPHR Registrar. The CPHR Program Manager provides exceptional customer service to members and ensures the integrity of the CPHR designation by facilitating certification requirements and adherence to professional standards. This position works with volunteer committees in awarding the CPHR designation to HR professionals who meet and maintain the required educational, experience, and professional development and conduct standards.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manages the CPHR program including NKE writing, validation of experiences and annual audits; works with post-secondary educational institutions to meet program requirements; works with volunteer committees to ensure validation of experiences and audits; acts as CPHR Registrar
  • Conducts CPHR program information sessions for potential CPHRs and existing members to encourage more applicants and to ensure a clear understanding of designation requirements
  • Act as CPHR Deputy Registrar and manage the CPHR program with a strong customer focus, including:
  • Ensuring registrants meet CPHR candidacy requirements (ie, National Knowledge Exam (NKE), validating NKE waivers).
  • Working with applicants to complete the Validation of Experience form and supporting a committee to assess applications.
  • Ensuring CPHRs adhere to the Continuing Professional Development requirement and performing an annual audit of CPD reports.
  • Implementing professional standards and code of conduct requirements and providing information and guidance about the member complaint process.
  • Working with post-secondary educational institutions to ensure continued adherence to the CPHR program requirements.
  • Accurately administering confidential member data, academic and experience credentials, and continuing professional development and conduct standards as per privacy laws.
  • Working with volunteer committees to carry out certification requirements. Committees include Professional Standards, Professional Conduct, Continuing Professional Development Audit, Experience Assessment, and Executive Experience Assessment.
  • Lead engaging presentations, encourage and facilitate applications and manage enquiries proactively from members, students, public and partners.
  • Develop good relations with all association stakeholders, such as Manitoba’s universities and colleges, CPHR Canada, and other provincial associations.
  • Evaluate member feedback and recommend ways to improve services to members.
  • Attend signature events such as the conference and special membership meetings to provide support and to connect with members, sponsors and partners as required.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five years’ experience in program management or coordination, project management, or professional or student services with an excellent customer service focus.
  • A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving with customers, membership, public or students with the ability to coach, guide and resolve issues diplomatically and to deal with confidential matters professionally.
  • Inspiring leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage and lead volunteers in delivering projects within established targets.
  • Sound project management and organizational skills and attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to balance competing and changing priorities.
  • Effective presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Team-oriented, with demonstrated initiative, flexibility, resourcefulness, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Post-secondary education in program management, education, business or related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Mac environment).
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Regular office hours, Monday to Friday
  • Able to work longer days, including evenings or weekends as required to attend CPHR Manitoba events
  • Currently, we mostly work from home
