At the University of Manitoba, what inspires you can change everything.The opportunity: Working closely with team members to gather information from faculties and units to assist with the development of training content and documentation for end users, the Aurora Finance Customer & System Support Representative will also manage access and security for all levels of users for the University financial system (Banner, Concur, EPIC, FAST, and UMPlan). The incumbent will manage additions and updates to the chart of accounts used for the accounting structure at the University to address both transaction and reporting requirements, maintain and update financial authority data, and manages filing system for all security access, chart of accounts and financial authority additions and changes.Other duties of the incumbent will include providing customer service to University clients using the financial systems through email, phone and in person, assisting clients to resolve problems and maintains problem logs, evaluates trends, and documents resolutions, and providing one on one training and ascertains training needs.The qualifications and experience we’re looking for: · Completion of a formal training program in a related discipline from a recognized institution is required.· Three years experience working in a customer service and system support environment is required with proven experience working in a complex environment.· Knowledge of accounting, system related processes, and working in a higher education environment are assets.· An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.· Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and the advanced features of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) required.· Strong communication, keyboarding and organizational skills required.· Experience developing documentation for internal procedures and client instructions is required.· Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of staff, students and public in a diplomatic, firm but tactful manner, maintaining good relations with other University departments is essential.· Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and promote change in departments.· Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service is required.· Ability to analyze problems, assess user requests and find solutions is required.· Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.· Professional appearance is required.· Understanding of accounting procedures and system related processes would be assets.· Knowledge of University financial systems would be an asset.Why the University of ManitobaAlong with being one of Manitoba’s top employers, we are proud to provide a collaborative and enriching work environment.
