Job Description

We listen to our customers and pride ourselves on taking their suggestions into the designer’s studios to create innovative new products that meet the needs of each and every person that purchases one of our garments.Position Objectives Summary: Facilitate cross border shipment and import of goods for saleKey Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • International export document preparation and administration (CAED reporting and online Chamber of Commerce Certificates)
  • Prepare annual Certificates (USMCA-CUSMA)
  • Prepare Statement of Origin-MID Verifications
  • Request for Manufacturers Identification Number (MID)
  • Prepare Multiple Country Declarations (MCD)
  • Review Federal Tax ID Numbers on new international accounts
  • Work with a merchandising team to Assign HS Codes and enter style descriptions at PO level
  • Communicate with carriers, brokers and sales agents
  • Prepare and process customs clearances
  • Maintain a duties relief program and applicable reporting
  • Prepare duty drawback documentation
  • Monitor daily shipments
  • Obtain Certificates of Origins and Affidavit of Yarns from fabric suppliers (where necessary)
  • Obtain wildlife permit for importations to the US
  • Request for third party Down Certificates (where necessary)
  • Provide assistance for on-line courier shipments
Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and organization ability
  • Highly detail oriented
Required Qualifications:
  • Certificate or equivalent in Logistics field or equivalent training and work experience.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Experienced and proficient in the use of Excel, Word, ERP systems
  • Experience with the customs brokerage field an asset
Education:
  • Minimum Grade 12 graduate
  • Customs related courses or qualifications are an asset
