As we strive to be at the forefront of a complex and vastly changing retail industry, it is an exciting time to join the Canadian Tire family of companies.The Cyber Security Incident Response & Investigations team is mandated to address all network intrusions and cyber-attack investigations.The scope for this role includes collection and interpretation of information and events generated by internal security monitoring tools, and third-party providers. Providing support to highly technical and confidential investigations, to contain, and eradicate potential incidents, limiting potential exposure, and allowing business to operate normally.What you’ll doAs a Cybersecurity Incident Analyst, you are responsible for executing the Canadian Tire Corporation’s Incident Management process:Participate in response and investigation of potential security incidents.Collect and analyze evidence including network traffic, volatile data, logs, or other indicators of compromise to identify root cause of potential incidents.Own & manage multiple concurrent tickets, ensuring proper containment, eradication, recovery and lesson-learned activities are maintained.Take active role in remediation effort by coordinating multiple internal and external response partners.Participate in preparation of analytical reports and assessments supporting defence activities against information security threats.Contribute to improvement of security documentation, reporting mechanisms, and processes enhancements where appropriate.Perform proactive research to identify and characterize new emerging technologies trends, security methods, and threats based on relevant organizational context.malware analysis.Who you areWe are looking for high performing individuals who are:Agile and innovative individuals, who can manage in an environment of change and ambiguity to help us take bold and strategic moves in this rapidly evolving retail environmentCreative thinkers who take initiative and are capable of building, launching, and managing projects/programs that drive results for our customersProblem solvers with the ability to analyze and prioritize to meet business objectivesCollaborative team players with superior influencing skills, who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forwardIf you’re curious, ready to take on new challenges and open to doing things differently to help us evolve rapidly, then Canadian Tire is definitely the place to be.What you bringParticipated in and/or drove projects in the CyberDefence space that are related to incident management.3+ years of operational security monitoring, and incident response experience.Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and clearly to executive leadershipStrong technical understanding of network fundamentals and common internet protocols.Hands on experience using Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Proxy Servers, and Log Aggregation Technology to conduct analysis for evidence of network penetrations and data theft.Thorough knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems and relevant investigation tools.Experience in working in a critical Security Operations Center (SOC) or Computer Incited response Team (CIRT) environment preferred.Relevant information security certifications: SANS GCIA, SANS GCIH, SANS GPEN, SANS GFCA, Offensive Security OSCP, EC-Council E|CIH.Thorough knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems and relevant investigation tools.In depth experience on Malware analysis and forensics.About Canadian Tire CorporationCanadian Tire and its family of companies are boldly shaping retail in Canada and we continue to deliver a positive experience for our customers.
