The opening of our ninth Food Store, Seasons of Tuxedo, is fast approaching. With this new store, Red River Co-op is recruiting for a Deli Manager to join our Food Division, potentially filling the new role at Seasons of Tuxedo, or back filling for an internal transfer. And we just keep growing as we develop fresh, modern ways to deliver premium products with extraordinary customer service.Position:Essential responsibilities of the Deli Manager include but are not limited to the following:Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, food safety and food handling standards, inventory control, rotation, ordering and commitment buys, and the delivery of world-class customer service.Provide leadership and direction to employees in accordance with company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards and overall expectations.Provide leadership in the area of health and safety. Assist in identifying unhealthy or unsafe situations and ensure corrective action is taken.Provide leadership in the area of employee relations, hiring, training, development, performance management, assigning duties, discipline, recognition, termination, security, union contract compliance, administration of policy and procedures and WCB claims.In accordance with departmental budget and collective bargaining agreement, schedule department staff to meet production and customer service needs in an efficient manner.Perform and manage others to provide world-class customer service.Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints, supply shortages, and staffing issues.Ensure paperwork procedures, as set by Red River Co-op, are followed.Perform periodic inventory counts.A full responsibility list will be provided to candidates selected for interviews.About You:Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years retail management experience and must have performed at a high level. You will have sound knowledge of department financial operations, and you possess above average communication / interpersonal skills. You will display your special skill of motivating staff to achieve high results.
