As apart of the materials division within the Canadian region, the pipe group provides product through the prairie’s and west into the British Columbia. The Winnipeg Operations provide materials for the Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northern Alberta. We have hundreds of plants and thousands of employees working across the Canada and the United States. We are also part of Heidelberg Cement Group, one of the world’s largest building materials companies.Reporting to the Plant Superintendent in Winnipeg, this position will be responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of materials and equipment thereby maintaining the highest level of service to our customers.What you’ll get to doSchedule, dispatch, and monitor deliveriesWork closely with customers to ensure orders and delivered on time and in fullAlert/update customers of possible wait times for trucks in the shipping laneCommunicate to QC and yard foreman when items on the rework list are requested for delivery.Obtain quotes and rate sheets from trucking companies; use most economical carriers whenever possibleProvide customer service to walk up customers and phone/email ordersComplete document management daily and provide reports as required from Plant Superintendent/SalesJob entry or quotes when required.Maintain good communication with customers and driversProvide regular shipping updates to sales teamMaintain accurate time in and time out for all loads; capture truck wait times and record the reasons for any incurred overages.Coordinate transportation of stock transfers between locationsCoordinate transportation of purchased and resale materialsCoordinate movement of forms and other equipment between plantsCo-ordinate product returns from customers and inside salesProvide safety orientations for all drivers entering yard and visitorsReview and approve freight invoicesOther duties as requiredEssential Experience and SkillsHigh School Diploma, some post-secondary education preferredExperience with shipping and logistics within the transportation industryFamiliarity with concrete pipe products is an assetExperience in the construction or the transportation industryAbility to work effectively in a past paced environmentExcellent communication, organization, decision making, and interpersonal skillsBasic to intermediate level Microsoft Office skillsProven commitment to safe work proceduresWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation package and paid time off vacation policyIndustry leading benefits package, including health, wellness, and pension planOpportunities for training, development, career growth within a global organizationA diverse, inclusive, supportive, and innovative work environment with best in-class peoplePension plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions and RRSP optionsLehigh Hanson is a drug free workplaceWork EnvironmentRole operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.Our pre-employment process includes: reference checks, a medical including drug & alcohol testing, and a criminal record and drivers abstract check may be required.#LI-MG1CAIND321IND123Quick Apply
