Join our team of Manitobas best as we continue to build a company that supports innovation,commitment and customer service.We are seeking a Document Control Representative, who will perform data entry and archiving within DCO, Lynx and Iron Mountainand provide experienced input to assist Document Control in the archiving of digital based and manual drawings, filing anddocument archiving for the Keeyask Project. This is a 10-month term position with full-time hours.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in ensuring that the document control processes are being followed to archive the Keeyask project files to meet current
and future needs.
  • Assist in archiving digital based (primary) and manual (secondary) documents relating to the Keeyask project for long term
access.
  • Will be required to perform filing and retrieval of documents for the Division, utilizing software, such as: Microsoft Office Tools,
Lynx, and Documentum.
  • Will be required to utilize the departments scanner to create high quality electronic documents, including book-marking,
adding metadata to create PDFs, or other electronic documents when required.
  • Assist with the application of the SCI (System Classification Index) numbering system to all department documentation.
  • Participate in the transfer of historical documents to Records Management in accordance with their established policy and
procedures including preparing the files for long term archival storage with Iron Mountain.
  • Ensure specifications, operating and maintenance manuals, reports, etc., are properly maintained by inserting and issuing
updated material and addenda as required.Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 education with a minimum of two years directly related experience;
OR
  • Grade 12 education plus completion of commercial or vocational special courses, plus minimum of one year of directly related
experience.
  • Good working knowledge and experience with Documentum and SCI is required.
  • Experience coordinating and developing project policy and procedure manuals.
  • Good working knowledge and experience with the document requirements and workflow associated with
engineering/construction projects.
  • Candidate must have strong software skills in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are a critical competency required for this position.
  • Good working knowledge and experience with and understanding of web-based technology.
  • Previous experience with planning, licensing and construction of major generation developments at Manitoba Hydro would be
an asset.
  • Candidate must have a developed approach to managing task assignments and producing work products.
  • Good judgement and flexibility are critical to this position, as assignments may not be well defined.
  • Candidate must be able to function independently and effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize and control and activities of various concurrent work assignments.
  • Must be prepared to travel and work outside normal business hours.
  • Thorough knowledge of Corporation policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Familiar with and adherence of Manitoba Hydro Safety Manual and other approved practices and procedures.
  • Possess a valid Province of Manitoba Drivers Licence.
