Job Description

Wedding Dog Handler and CoordinatorThe Pawsh Dog Wedding Services helps dog owners incorporate their beloved pets into their wedding celebrations. We are currently seeking an experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable Dog Handler with a strong background in dog training, handling, and customer service. Familiarity with the wedding industry is a plus.Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to discuss their wedding plans and determine how to best incorporate their dog into the celebration.
  • Develop and execute customized training plans for dogs to ensure they are well-behaved and prepared for their role in the wedding.
  • Coordinate grooming appointments and select appropriate wedding accessories for the dog.
  • On wedding day, safely transport the dog to and from the wedding venue, as well as to our dog boarding hotel after the event.
  • Handle the dog throughout the wedding, ensuring they are well cared for, happy, and have positive interactions with guests.
  • Coordinate with wedding photographers to ensure that the dog looks their best in family photos
  • Monitor the dogs well-being, providing regular walks, potty breaks, water, snacks, and preventing overstimulation.
  • Liaise with wedding planners and vendors to ensure seamless integration of the dog into the event.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in professional dog handling and training.
  • Knowledge of the wedding industry and its protocols is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and pets.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to handle unexpected situations.
  • Canine CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to attain this upon hire
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to providing top-notch care.
