Job Description

The (E-Commerce Product Specialist / Web Onboarder) will work closely with Purchasing and Marketing to ensure that the online product catalogue is accurate and complete. Responsible to collect all product information from multiple sources, including thorough research. Creation of compelling and accurate content so the customer can be confident about their purchasing decision. This is an entry-level position with potential for growth within the company. Successful candidates must be eager to learn and contribute to our fast-paced, growing team.Requirements:

  • 1-3 years working experience in e-commerce merchandising and/or retail merchandising, data maintenance
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel or similar
  • Excellent problem solving skills, analytical skills and be able to multi-task
  • Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail & timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong desire and a proven aptitude for continuous learning
  • An understanding of Photoshop, hand-coded HTML, CSS, HTML5
  • Firsthand knowledge of our brands and products would be an asset
  • Previous experience with Magento is an asset
  • Familiarity with e-commerce and digital marketing channels
  • Find, diagnose, and fix content problems, including broken links, typographical errors, and formatting inconsistencies.
  • Appropriately prioritize workload to ensure the expeditious posting of new products
  • Fast learner who is self-motivated, independent, energetic, detail-oriented, and likes to compete with others in our industry
Responsibilities:
  • Manages timely additions of new products and the ongoing enhancement of product catalogue and site content
  • Research product specifications; work with internal teams and vendor partners to collect product information
  • Write product details for all products and compelling content that will appeal to the consumer
  • Ensure highest levels of data accuracy, relevance and richness standards are upheld. Be able to process a high volume of information from multiple sources while ensuring a constant level of quality execution
  • Ensure accurate information on all items on the site, including descriptions, images, style attributes, shipping restrictions, pricing and any enhanced product content
  • Responsible for ongoing quality assurance checks, validating completeness and accuracy of content.
  • Upload product and confirm content is accurate and complete
  • Responsible for timely removal of discontinued product from site
  • Assists in website user testing and IT enhancements
  • Supports online marketing by ensuring promotional products are tweaked for top performance
  • Create appropriate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities throughout the site
  • Evaluate and execute special projects as assigned
  • Appropriately prioritize workload to ensure the expeditious posting of new products
