Job Description

Fanfare Magazine Group, publisher of Winnipeg’s favourite city’s magazines, Ciao! and Where Winnipeg, has an immediate opening for editor. Join the team of high functioning multi-disciplinary professionals to create local food and culture content in-print and online. The winning candidate will bring a desire for making engaging branded content on multi-platforms, have a go-getter attitude with confident organizational/time-management skills under strict deadlines and is a strong writer with a portfolio of published work. A natural curiosity about the community’s restaurant, retail and entertainment scene is a must.Qualifications: 2+ years of professional writing experience in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment (publishing preferred) with a journalism or communications degree (InDesign). Good research skills, enthusiasm for magazines, passion for promoting Winnipeg, and a strong knowledge of the city are essential.Core Responsibilities: Establish and execute editorial plans to create, promote and protect engaging content on Fanfare’s multi-platforms. This includes proposing story ideas, interviews, feature writing, press releases, proofreading, fact-checking while working in tandem with the Art Director and photographers.Please forward resume with samples of writing and a cover letter.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:
