Job Description

The FSD Education team inspires the intellect and imagination of young people by providing them opportunities to experience there skill and learn. Our vision is that all young people will have the creative confidence they need to be successful in their communities.The Education Assistant will work closely with the part time Education staff to accomplish the administrative duties for the in-school and summer programs offered by FSD EducationResponsibilities:

  • Processing and tracking reservations for student matinee / field trip programs
  • Assisting Education staff with program scheduling, survey administration, and program documentation
  • Works with Education staff to manage summer camp registration, camp scheduling, planning, and on-site management of camp sessions.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of the Access to the Arts program, which provides complimentary tickets to performances to non-profit partner organizations and creates opportunities to connect artists to Austin youth such as sound-checks, meet-and-greets, etc.
  • Assists with day-of logistics for student matinee field trips and Discovery Series family shows.
  • Assists with language translation for the Literacy to Life curriculum, and Education parent registration forms / program communication.
Experience:
  • Experience with program coordination and administration
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with supervisor and colleagues
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, non-profit work environment
  • Interest in arts education
Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as Google Suite software
  • Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Familiarity with project management software a plus
  • Interest and ability to learn platforms utilized by the Paramount.
Job Type: Part-timeSalary: $19.00-$27.00 per hourBenefits:
